ClimaLock (“ClimaLock,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit climalock.com (the “Site”), inquire about our products, or otherwise interact with us online.

ClimaLock designs and manufactures insulation panels and installs tank insulating systems for industrial and commercial applications. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to information collected through the Site and related online interactions. It does not apply to:

  • Information collected offline or through separate business, sales, or installation contracts;
  • Information handled under a separate agreement or notice provided at the point of collection; or
  • Third-party websites that may link to or from the Site, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you contact us, request a quote or product information, submit an inquiry form, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide:

  • Contact information – name, company name, job title, email address, phone number, and mailing address;
  • Project or inquiry details – information about your application, facility, tank or insulation requirements, and the content of your message; and
  • Other information you voluntarily choose to share with us.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it;
  • Device type, operating system, browser type and version, and language settings;
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit URLs, and session duration; and
  • Dates and times of your visits and other diagnostic data.

3.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive limited information about you from third-party sources, such as business directories, referral partners, or analytics providers, and may combine it with information we already hold.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

(a) Respond to your inquiries, quote requests, and product questions;

(b) Provide information about our insulation panels, tank insulating systems, and related services;

(c) Process and facilitate transactions and project communications;

(d) Operate, maintain, secure, analyze, and improve the Site;

(e) Send communications, updates, or marketing materials where permitted (you may opt out at any time);

(f) Protect the security and integrity of the Site and prevent fraud or misuse;

(g) Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; and

(h) Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not rent personal information, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without providing notice and, where required, choice. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers and Vendors – with trusted third parties that perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, content delivery and security (e.g., Cloudflare), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), email and communications services, and IT support. These providers are authorized to use your information only as needed to provide services to us.
  • Affiliates and Business Partners – with corporate affiliates, dealers, distributors, or installation partners to the extent necessary to respond to your request or support a project.
  • Legal and Compliance – where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our agreements; to detect or prevent fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClimaLock, our customers, or others.
  • Business Transactions – in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
  • With Your Consent – for any other purpose disclosed to you with your consent.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

6.1 What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage. Cookies help the Site function properly, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and improve performance.

6.2 Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies – essential for the Site to operate securely and reliably. These include cookies set by Cloudflare, our content delivery and security provider, which are used to protect the Site against malicious activity, manage traffic, maintain security, and support core functionality. These necessary cookies cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Analytics / Performance Cookies – help us understand how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve it. See Section 6.3.
  • Functional Cookies – remember your preferences and settings to enhance your experience.

6.3 Analytics Providers

  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect information about how visitors use the Site (such as pages visited, time spent, device and browser information, and approximate location). Google Analytics uses cookies to generate aggregated reports about Site activity. You can learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity, a product analytics and session-replay service provided by Microsoft Corporation, to understand how users interact with the Site through metrics such as clicks, scrolls, and usage patterns (including heatmaps and session recordings). This helps us improve the Site’s design and usability. Microsoft’s handling of this data is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement (privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).

6.4 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit the Site, you may be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to make choices about the categories of cookies we use. Through our cookie preference tool (where available at [COOKIE PREFERENCES LINK]), you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your choices by category, and you can revisit and change your selections at any time by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” (or “Cookie Settings”) link in the Site footer. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Because preferences are stored in a cookie on the device and browser you use, you may need to set them again if you clear cookies, use a different device, or switch browsers. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (including Cloudflare security cookies) may impair Site functionality.

6.5 Do Not Track and Universal Opt-Out Signals

Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. Where required by applicable state law, we will honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms (such as the Global Privacy Control) for applicable privacy rights.

7. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Any transmission of information is at your own risk.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to respond to your inquiries, deliver requested information or services, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete, destroy, or de-identify it.

9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. A number of U.S. states have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Indiana, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Tennessee, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Maryland, and others.   • Right to Appeal – where required by law, appeal a denial of your privacy rights request.

9.1 How to Exercise Your Rights

We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding, which may involve confirming information we already maintain. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification of the agent’s authority. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9.2 Appeals

If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at the information below, with the subject line “Privacy Rights Appeal.” If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a business and general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the information below and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
